Test Your Bible Knowledge: Question Seven

November 11, 2021

How many people entered Noah’s ark?

That’s right! We see in Genesis 7:13 that eight people entered Noah’s Ark: “On the very same day Noah and Noah’s sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered the ark.”

Read the entire story of Noah’s Ark in Genesis 6 through 9.

The Abide Bible features specially designed Scripture engagement practices that are intended to draw you further into God’s Word as you read. As you read the passage about Noah’s Ark, consider following this prompt to journal the Scripture:

Genesis 7:1-5, 17-24

Prepare Your Heart

Open yourself to God’s presence. Ask God to speak to you and to reveal Himself through His Word.

Reflect and Write:

Why would Noah need seven each of all clean animals and only two each of unclean animals?
What kind of damage and long-term effects would weeks of extended rain have had on Earth?
How was it just for God, who had once called creation “very good,” to destroy almost everything He had created?
