66 Reasons to Trust God

Let’s be honest. It can be hard to trust God when life becomes chaotic.  Maybe that’s where you are and you could use a gentle reminder of God’s faithfulness. If so, we have good news for you. God’s given us many examples of His trustworthiness in the Scriptures. Just open your Bible to any book and you’ll find compelling evidence.

  1. Genesis 37:1–50:26—God worked through Joseph’s captivity to save Israel from famine.
  2. Exodus 7:1–12:36—God sent ten plagues on Egypt to force Pharaoh to free his Hebrew slaves.
  3. Leviticus 1:1–17:16—God established a system of sacrifices so that His people could worship Him.
  4. Numbers 13:1–14:38—God rewarded two courageous spies for trusting Him.
  5. Deuteronomy 7:7-9—God keeps His covenant of love to a thousand generations.
  6. Joshua 23:14—Not one of God’s promises failed.
  7. Judges 6:1–8:35—God used perhaps the least likely candidate imaginable to accomplish an extraordinary military victory.

  43. John 3:16—God sacrificed His only Son so that we could have eternal life.
  44. Acts 2:1-4—God sent His Holy Spirit to guide and comfort His people.
  45. Romans 2:1-16—God is a righteous judge.
  46. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10—God reveals spiritual wisdom through His Holy Spirit.
  47. 2 Corinthians 4:8—Even when God’s people are hard-pressed on every side, He will not allow us to be crushed.
  48. Galatians 3:1-9—God rewards our faith in Jesus by making us righteous in His eyes.
  49. Ephesians 4:7-16—God gives His followers spiritual gifts.
  50. Philippians 3:17-21—God has arranged citizenship in heaven for His people.

  55. 2 Timothy 3:16-17—God gave us Scripture to make us complete and equip us to do good works.
  56. Titus 3:5—According to His mercy, God saved us.

  58. Hebrews 13:8—The Lord is the same yesterday, today and forever.
  59. James 5:7-12—God rewards patience.
  60. 1 Peter 1:3-12—God has prepared a heavenly inheritance for His people.
  61. 2 Peter 1:5-11—God encourages His people to become spiritually mature so that we won’t be taken in by false teachers.
  62. 1 John 3:20—God knows all things.
  63. 2 John 1:7-11—God warns us of deceivers who will try to lead us spiritually astray.
  64. 3 John 1:5-8—God places generous people in our lives.
  65. Jude 1:24—God keeps us from stumbling.
  66. Revelation 1:9-11—God offered the apostle John a sneak peek of heaven.

Think About It:

These are just 66 reasons to trust God. There are, of course, multiple other examples in the Bible of God's trustworthiness. Are there any that specifically stand out to you?

    The word of God is a prophecy in my life. This is God talking direct to me. I am a strong believer but there was a time whereby my spiritual life was not the same as before. I feel the journey is too much for me . I will keep on pressing until the door is opened

    Thank you for this reminder that God can be trusted even when we do not remember or seem to forget. He is always trustworthy and definitely can be trusted all the time. Sometimes we need just a little reminder of how faithful and trusting our Father is.

    God is almighty and I am so glad about it! There is no other name under the heavens whereby we must be saved, other than the NAME of JESUS. Jesus works out every thing for those who Love Him and are the called according to His Purpose. Thanks, these are some Scripture that has helped me tremendously through hard times.
