Thomas Nelson’s Bible Group has a new Editor-in-Chief; Bob Sennett has been promoted to the position. He has 24 years with the Nashville publisher.
“I couldn’t ask more of an Editor-in-Chief than what Bob Sennett brings us,” says Bob Sanford, Thomas Nelson Vice-President and Associate Publisher of the Bible Group. “His product and market knowledge are thorough; his biblical acumen ensures that we stay true to the message of the Scriptures. Bob is well-deserving of this promotion.”
Sennett (B.S., M.A., Syracuse) will be directing and coordinating the activities of Thomas Nelson’s team of Bible editors. He started as a freelance proofreader for the company and steadily worked his way up.
“It’s very much a team effort here,” Sennett says. “Nobody walks in knowing what it takes to be a Thomas Nelson Bible editor. My preparation happened on the job. I had some great mentors over the years, and I want to return the favor. When I’m gone, there will be a new bunch of mentors already up and running.”
Sennett says he hopes to see even more life-changing Thomas Nelson Bible products published in the years to come.
“We want to do everything we can to get people into the Word,” he says. “That means providing all the help it takes to make the Bible understandable and accessible. People both inside the church and out need to discover God’s amazing revelation of Himself and the great things He has planned.”
